ARCHITECT - ASSIGNED CERTIFIER - BC(A)R 2014 PRACTICE MANAGER - PSDP

International Design Practice working on projects in Ireland, the UK and South Africa in a range of sectors primarily Residential, Commercial and Healthcare.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Registered Architect (MRIAI), with a minimum of 10 years of experience to act as BC(A)R 2014 Practice Manager for Assigned Certifier and PSDP within the practice.

Job Requirements:

Candidates should have an excellent understanding of all current Building Regulations, including amendments, and all statutory requirements to pro-actively manage BC(A)R 2014 as Practice Manager and Assigned Certifier.

You will carry out building inspections at key stages of the construction process with other members of the design team, write and maintain detailed inspection reports for management, monitor compliance and liaise with the relevant Building Control Authority. Responsibilities will include completion of all submissions to the BCA for all projects, and continued liaison with the BCA through to validation of Certificates of Compliance on Completion.

In addition, you will ensure compliance and procedural management of all key aspects of the role of Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP), and have an excellent working knowledge of the requirements of the SHWW (Construction) Regulations 2013 (SI No.291 of 2013).

Please note that a full clean driving license (category B) is required for this position, as is use of a car.
